peach fuzz / squirt soda / the beam of sunlight that parts the clouds

A wildly aromatic wine built for immediacy and drinkability. Fragrant, textural, and electric, with bright acidity and a gently savoury edge from partial skin contact. A house favourite style that consistently overdelivers.

This is peak level wine made with precision, energy, and site transparency, that consistently stop us in our tracks.

Led by Rainbo and Gareth Belton, Gentle Folk works across five organically farmed vineyard sites in Basket Range, focusing on small scale, detail driven viticulture and low intervention winemaking. The wines are vivid, textural, and deeply expressive, capturing both the cool climate tension and the wild character of the Hills.

Gareth is one of the most talented winemakers working in Australia right now, delivering the kind of elegance and finesse usually associated with the world’s most revered cool climate sites. A true modern reference point for the region and a genuine discovery for serious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir drinkers.

Working from high elevation, rocky Basket Range sites, the wines show tension, vivacity, and mineral drive, with a strong sense of place across both village and single vineyard bottlings.
