chalking it up to luck / don't call it quince / rendezvous in the clovers

A blend of Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca, with a touch of Moscatel in the mix, from young vines planted five hundred metres above sea level. The grapes fermented on the skins for four days, before being pressed to vats for a short rest. Available only in magnum, this fresh, fragrant maceration pairs zest, chalk and herbs to brilliant effect.

Laureano Serres and his daughter Alícia are legendary icons of Spain’s natural wine movement. Laureano, a former computer programmer, abandoned sulfites forever in 2002 after accidentally leaving them out of a batch and falling in love with the result. He went on to co-found the Brutal!!! wine movement. Alícia brings formal oenology training to the cellar, perfectly blending technical precision with her father’s wild, self-taught philosophy. Together, they farm high-altitude limestone vineyards to craft delicious, living wines.
