Domaine du Puy de l'Ours was created in 2019, born from the shared passion of Juliette Puyperoux and Jean Orsoni. Having flourished in their respective careers in Paris, their longing for a simpler, rural lifestyle and their mutual love for wine ultimately led them back to Juliette's familial roots in Burgundy where her grandparents had once thrived as négociants. Combining their surnames, Puyperoux and Orsoni, they curated a 7.5-hectares Domaine nestled primarily in Savigny-lès-Beaune and Beaune, while also working to renovate a 19th-century family home and winery. Guided by a deep respect for the environment, they secured an AB Organic certification and practice minimal intervention in both the vineyards and the cellar. Their commitment further extends to reducing their ecological impact through intricate carbon footprint analyses. This dedication to sustainability not only shapes their wines but also reflects their ethos of preserving Burgundy's rich heritage for generations to come.
